My name is Mayhem....
Has anyone seen the new show, My name is Earl?? It is about a man who was mean to people his whole life and then decides to change his luck, he is going to track down everyone he was mean to ever, and make amends. I feel connected to this stupid show. This is how I feel. Let me explain:
I did not like school. EVER. Most children enjoyed it when they were little, not me. I did not like being involved or being chosen for activities. But I loved to be naughty. I loved the thrill of doing something that I knew I should not do. I got in fights, I caused scandals, I swore at teachers. I once spent three months in ADSP(in school detention). I got kicked out of Math and the lunch room for 1/2 a year. The school had to get me a tutor because the math teacher refused to have me in her class(Mrs. Knight). I got counseled, I got suspended- it did not matter. I loved it. I spent an entire hour talking to my one armed principal with my arm tucked in my shirt. I spent another hour while in the vice-principles office, Mrs Boner, asking her how she felt having the last name "Boner". I was mean to people. Very mean. My friend, Gypsy, always told me I was going to end up on Montell with someone I was mean to making me apologize. I knocked out a girls(Joy Reed) two front teeth with a softball. I picked on the nerds, I stole there tests and made them do my homework. I poured shampoo down a girls mouth and made her drink it- then I beat her up. I was not a nice girl.
I thought it was hilarious. I got thrown in jail several times. And I partied. Oh boy did we PARTY!!
Now I am a mother., and I see things differently(well most things). Most of those nerds are now very successful. I can not fathom being disrespectful to anyone. I love my children's teachers and am so thrilled to have them do what they do. And I am nice to everyone. I do not know where my level of patience comes from. I deal with some pretty different individuals in my profession; I just know that I am going to meet someone on the street some day(probably at PTA) who remembers me. And wants to get even...

wow! mrs. mayhem, you were mean. i got kicked out of photography two weeks into the semester, and every day for that class i then had to go sit in mrs. boner's office for the rest of the year. same day. same scenario, math class, except then i had to go sit in mr. claphams office. i can't beleive you did that to the one armed principal. joy reed. thats funny. point is, i took the trouble thing too far. agreed? now today i have a tough time being mean or rude. time has definetly done me justice. so has the justice system. earl was hilarious. i didn't know you could swear on this. i thought it was bad ettiquete. kick rocks anonymous fuckers.

Mrs. Mayhem if it makes you feel any better I was not very nice back in the day either. I'm sure I was mean to all of you a time or two. Though I did not get in trouble in school except for one infamous fight I got in enough trouble out of school. I think it's all part of growing up and finding yourself... Though I don't think I 'm quit there yet. We all had so much fun together in the past. I'm so happy I had you crazy girls to experince life with.

Remember the movie Billy Madison. That's what I think of when I think about how mean we were. Some crazy guy with a list of "people to kill", putting lipstick on himself. We are definitely on a few people's lists.

Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives are my FAVORITES (although I'm still also hanging in there with ER). Grey's Anatomy was awesome last night! I'm so glad fall is here and we can have good tv back!
