South Dakota Weather
I love fall. It is my favorite time of the year. I love watching the leaves change. I love the cool air with a shining sun. I love fall soccer. I love getting out my sweaters. I love gypsy's chili. I love fall.
I hate storms. Big thunderstorms with bad wind are the worst for me. In the morning after a bad storm my family will say "wow there was alot of thunder and lightning last night- I bet your tired today.."
Last night was our first winter weather advisory. It was snowing WITH thunder and lighting. For those of you that have never experienced this- it is truly bizarre. When I finally fell asleep it was really coming down . I was sure I would wake up to a ton of snow. YAY! Snow day!! You know the kind where the whole town shuts down??
I woke up to just a dusting of snow. Looking out my window, only the ground and trees were covered. It was beautiful.
No snow day.
Maybe next time...

i hate winter!
sorry
fall and winter are the best.
I love fall, but here it doesn't involve snow. I miss snow in October. But I don't think it snows there as much as it used to either. Remember how when the first snow came, that was it. The ground would be covered until spring. NO melting away and snowing again, It never got warm enough for that. I loved skipping school the first nice day. In my memories, every time I skipped school my feet were wet. I wore those 5.99 Ked knock-offs and would walk through all the slush across the South Jr High field, (probably on my way to conoco) and my feet would get soaked. But it was warm finally and I didn't care. (It was probably like 50, but I thought it was warm.) I love fall, and I love spring.
Here the ground is covered in snow for like 15 days a year. I miss slush.
Oh gysygirl I hope your kiddos are doing better! I hate it when my kids are sick! I really love this time a year also! More because of he warm comfy clothes! I love staying home where it is warm and just spending time at home! I don't think I did that at all this summer! I actually just finished painting Mason's room last night! How fun now I want to do my whole house!
Gypsy, I hope your kiddos are doing better. Did you go to the ER last night? Sick kids is the WORST part about fall.
Asha- what color did
you paint?? I love to paint!!
Gypsy hope your kiddos are feeling better- you home for the duration today??
Tony the realtor is comming to pick me up and I am going to go look at houses!! I am so excited!! House shopping is way fun!! Can't whait to paint my house Asha!! When I find something, ya'll need to come over for a huge "Mayhems new house party"....
So excited- hope I will find something I like in my price range. Also- I get to keep the dog. One battle won!!
Stopped by Thrashes to see Mikey- locked my keys in my car. Had to call ex mr mayhem to unlock the car. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR
How are things Seminole??
Have a great day everyone:)
Congrats on your dog. That's a big battle to win! I love looking at houses. Will you stay in the same area so the kids will go to the same school, or will they have to change? I'm doing okay. This week sucks. I work Friday and Saturday night (12's), then I have an Anatomy test tuesday (memorize 228 bones) then I have to retake the ACT (mine is more than 5 years old) on Wed, then an Algebra test Thursday.....So if you don't see much of me in the next week, you'll know why!
yes, my plan is to stay in this same area so there will be no school switching. Next year, Kylee will be in middle school(yikes!!) so she will go to a different school anyway- but it will be nice for the boys to not have to switch. Plus, I like the valley. The only side of town I would ever live on would be South or East- I would never go West( no westy here). Anyway I found one that I realy like. I can't do much untill Im divorced so now I just have to get the ball rolling. Very exciting!!
Good luck on your tests!!!
Okay I have a problem! What is the age limit that a boy could have a "girl" friend spend the night? Mason just called and told me that he asked Darion to spend the night for his b-day party Friday night and that her parents hadn't decided yet???? My understanding of our conversation the other day was to invite her for dinner! I am a little weirded out by this....what do you think?
I'm with you Special K, there is nothing about winter that I like. I love summer, so much that I can't believe I still live in SD.
Oh Asha, that's a tough one. Let me know when you figure that one out.
Mrs. Mayhem-It was nice talking to you today. I'm glad all is well.
For all the girls, when are we going to plan that girls night out and stop talking about it?? I think it would be a blast if all us girls from the old days got together for a night out.
What middle school will she go to?
It's exciting you found a house. Can you put an offer down to hold it at all?
Asha, yikes! I remember an episode of different strokes that happened on. It all turned out okay. Though, i doubt I would let my 6 year old have a sleep over at a boys. And I know her daddy wouldn't let it happen.
asha, i say let the kids spend the night together. we all know i make good decisions. right gypsy!?
I believe the intentions were very innocent but he is only 9! Darian is in the same grade but very much a tomboy! She was even on the flag football team last year! She even has a minicrotch rocket, but I was a little weirded out at first but I told Mason last night that she could come for dinner but not to spend the night!!!! I couldn't believe her parents were even thiking about it!! Maybe they lied to her!!!! Ha Ha...so does anyone have any great plans for the weekend?
Hey gypsy girl I would love to cut your hair but I cannot do it this weekend! I coudl next week!!!! Let me know......
weekend plans mayhem???
gypsy.exasperating?interesting.
FYI for all of you I have posted some pics of my husband and my kiddos so please stop by and take a look! ;)
Where is everyone?
Hi guys!! Now that I am homeless, I can not blog everyday. I appreciate you all still comming around-it's a nice way to stay in touch!! I will jump on and continue to do posts when I have access to a computer- and hopefully you all will continue to comment!!
Tonight I went to My Aunt's house because my cousin and his wife were in town with there new baby. As most of you know, I have a very large family. Tonight was actulally a little small- only 40 people. All the "boys" hang out in the family room and get crocked. The kids go downstairs to play, and the "girls" hang out in the living room and get crocked and talk about everyone else. Tonight it was "let's all give Mayhem advise" night. so after several rounds with them- they finally gave up and decided to plan Thanksgiving instead(Thank you,God). In my family, most of the woman do not cook- the men do. So as people continue to get divorced, we loose cooks. My sister decided that all the exhusbands get togethere and have there own celebration...What a group we are!!! By the end of the night several of my uncles were again giving me advise and they were slurring so bad I could not even understand what they were saying... I swear they should make a movie out of this group!! Now I see why people are a little intimidated by them, God Bless them anyway..
Asha- I agree with Gyps, let her stay untill 9 or so, that way she can hang out. I was glad to hear that the boys are feeling better. Hope you are having a killer Monopoly game tonight!!
Special K- I work all weekend:(
I close on Sat so I won't be home till about midnight- then I turn around and open on Sunday. So not much going on this weekend for me.
Perhaps we can get together for a drink after work this week?? Let me know.
Seminole, I hope your having a good weekend at work..I know how bad it sucks to work weekends...
Maybe this time I will marry a rich old man who will let me quit my job. Then he can die and leave me all his money- like Anna Nicole Smith only I don't want to be the fat girl...
Gyps and Space Cadet- interesting opinions on the matter...
Have a great weekend everyone!!!
Love you- Mayhem
